8th Grade
Class Overview
This year-long course is the second part of a two part series that will focus on speaking, listening, reading, and writing. The three modes of communication (interpretive, interpersonal, and presentational) will be used to engage students in Spanish language acquisition. Throughout the course, students will integrate learning abut Spanish-speaking countries and cultures into the language content. All learning that takes place in our classroom is directly from North Carolina Essential Standards for World Languages. Students may receive high school credit for Spanish 1 if they successfully pass Spanish 1 Part A, Spanish 1 Part B, and pass the end of course exam required by the district.
